Callie Ann Hagins Parker was  born in Ocala, Florida to the late Anna Hardy and Harold Hagins, Sr. After graduating from high school, she married the late Arnold Jeremiah “Jerry” Shelton who was serving in the Navy. Callie and their children traveled with Jerry to his various state side duty stations. Annapolis, Maryland is where Callie decided to settle down and raise their family, while Jerry   continued his tours of duty. After the children reached school age, Callie started her first and only job as a Travel Agent for David Taylor Research Centre , Department of Defense Naval Warfare in Carderock, MD, where she worked for thirty years.  She met and married the love of her life Larry Parker, in September of 1998.

Callie was a very active member of Second Baptist Church, under the leadership of the late Rev. Dr. Willie Mason for many years, prior to joining Mount Olive AME Church, under the capable leadership of the Reverend Ronald Owens in 2019.  Rev.
